Robert N. Katz, an AV* rated attorney, is the former President of the DeKalb Bar Association. He attended the University of Georgia where he received his B.B.A. and Juris Doctor (Cum Laude). Before entering the private practice of law, Mr. Katz had judicial clerkships with Judge Dorothy T. Beasley of the Georgia Court of Appeals and with Judge James H. Weeks of the Superior Court of DeKalb County. Upon completion of his judicial clerkship with Judge Weeks, Mr. Katz joined the law firm of Gorby, Reeves, Moraitakis & Whiteman. His practice with the firm was divided between representation of individuals who suffered severe personal injuries and insurance companies and other corporations. Mr. Katz later became one of the founding members of the law firm now known as Katz, Stepp & Miller, LLC. His law practice since the founding of the firm has been devoted exclusively to the representation of individuals in serious personal injury matters. Mr. Katz is listed in the Who's Who Among American Law Students. He has authored several articles, including the "History of the Georgia Bill of Rights," and "Sexual Harassment in Employment and Education," as well as chapters of Georgia's Jurisprudence on False Arrest and False Imprisonment.
Mr. Katz represents individuals in a variety of personal injury matters. These include, but are not limited to, claims pertaining to automobile accidents, trucking accidents or tractor trailer accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, bicycle accidents, and wrongful death as well as any matter in which a serious personal injury has taken place. In almost twenty years of practicing law, Mr. Katz has consistently obtained positive results for his clients when resolving their personal injury matters. Mr. Katz' success is due, in large part, to his background in handling insurance matters before devoting his practice exclusively to the representation of individuals who have been seriously injured. As a result of his insurance defense background, Mr. Katz has a strong grasp of what is necessary to achieve a successful outcome with an insurance company in personal injury matters.
